Water level of Barak at Annapurna Ghat decreasing, flowing at 17.49 mt at 9 AM on Monday
June 6: Due to incessant rainfall since the last few days, the water level of river Barak has again started to rise. On Monday, the water level at Annapurna Ghat was reported to be steady. From Monday morning, the water level of Barak started to decrease.
As per report received from Assam Water Resource Department, river Barak at Annapurna Ghat, Silchar at 9 AM on Monday, was flowing below the danger level and was recorded at 17.49 metres. The danger level at this point is 19.83 metre. The water level is decreasing gradually.
The highest flood level at this point was recorded at 21.763 on 11 September, 2007.
