Vajpayee’s ashes will be immersed in Barak & Brahmaputra on Thursday

প্রাক্তন প্রধানমন্ত্রী অটলবিহারী বাজপেয়ীর চিতাভস্ম নিয়ে কলস আসছে অসমে। বুধবার গুয়াহাটি এবং বৃহস্পতিবার এই অস্থি কলস শিলচরে পৌঁছাবে। গুয়াহাটিতে ব্রহ্মপুত্রের বুকে এবং শিলচরে বরাক নদীতে এই অস্থি বিসর্জন করা হবে।

প্রদেশ বিজেপির একটি সূত্রে জানা গেছে, বুধবার দুপুর আড়াইটে নাগাদ গুয়াহাটি বিমানবন্দরে এসে পৌঁছবে কলস। প্রদেশ সভাপতি রঞ্জিত কুমার দাসের এই কলস নিয়ে আসার কথা রয়েছে। চিতাভষ্ম থাকা এই কলসটি বরণ করবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সর্বানন্দ সোনোয়াল থেকে শুরু করে মন্ত্রী, সাংসদ, বিধায়ক, এমনকি প্রদেশ বিজেপির শীর্ষ নেতারাও। বিমানবন্দর থেকে শোক মিছিলের মাধ্যমে এই কলস যাবে প্রদেশ বিজেপির সদর দফতরে। এদিন সন্ধ্যে থেকে পরদিন সকাল পর্যন্ত এই অস্থি কলস বিজেপির সদর দফতরে থাকবে। বৃহস্পতিবার সকাল আটটা থেকে দুপুর সাড়ে বারোটা পর্যন্ত প্রয়াত প্রাক্তন প্রধানমন্ত্রীর অস্থি কলস হেংরাবাড়ির কার্বি যুব সংঘের মাঠে থাকবে বলে বিজেপির পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে। এখানে সাধারণ মানুষ প্রয়াত প্রাক্তন প্রধানমন্ত্রীকে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি অর্পণ করতে পারবেন। এরপর শুরু হবে বিসর্জন যাত্রা। প্রদেশ বিজেপি কার্যালয় থেকে চাঁদমারি, শিলপুখুরি, লতাশিল হয়ে ভরলুমুখে লাচিত পার্ক পর্যন্ত যাবে এই যাত্রা। সেখানেই ব্রহ্মপুত্রের ঘাটে চিতাভষ্ম বিসর্জন করা হবে।

বাজপেয়ির অস্থি কলস বরাক উপত্যকায় এসে পৌঁছাবে ২৩ আগস্ট।মন্ত্রী রঞ্জিত দত্ত এই কলস শিলচরে নিয়ে আসবেন। ওই দিন দুপুর ১২টা ৪০ মিনিটে শিলচর বিমানবন্দরে এই চিতাভষ্ম থাকা কলসটি গ্রহণ করবেন মন্ত্রী পরিমল শুক্লবৈদ্য, প্রাক্তন কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রী কবীন্দ্র পুরকায়স্থ, এআইডিসি চেয়ারম্যান মিশনরঞ্জন দাস প্রমুখ। উধারবন্দ হয়ে এই অস্থিকলস নিয়ে আসা হবে শিলচর পুলিশ প্যারেড গ্রাউন্ডে। বিকেল ৪টা পর্যন্ত তা সর্বসাধারণের শ্রদ্ধা জানানোর জন্য সেখানে রাখা হবে। এরপর যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদায় অস্থি কলস সদরঘাটে বরাক নদীতে বিসর্জন করা হবে।

The ashes of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee would be brought to Assam on Wednesday for immersion in river Brahmaputra the following day. On Thursday, the urn containing part of his ashes will be flown to Silchar and will be immersed in river Barak.

A source from State BJP has informed that the urn containing ashes of Vajpayee will reach Guwahati airport at 2.30 PM. State BJP President, Ranjit Kumar Das is supposed to come with the urn. The urn containing the ashes of the poet-politician Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be received by the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, his ministers, MLAs, MPs and top leaders of the party.

Processions on vehicles with urn containing Vajpayee’s ashes will be taken out from the airport to the BJP State headquarters in Guwahati. The urn containing Vajpayee’s ashes will be kept in state BJP office from Wednesday evening till 8 AM on Friday. BJP has informed that from 8 AM on Thursday till 2.30 in the afternoon, the urn will be kept in the field of Karbi Yuva Sangathan at Hengrabari. Common people will be able to pay their homage to the late former Prime Minister at Hengrabari. On Thursday, the procession for immersion of the ashes will start from the state BJP office and will go past Chandmari, Silpukuri, Latashil to Bharalimukh Lachit Park. His ashes will be immersed in river Brahmaputra over there.

The ‘Kalash Yatra’ of Atal Bihari Vajpayee will reach Silchar on 23 August. Minister Ranjit Dutta will bring the urn to Silchar. The urn of ashesh will be received from the airport by Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, former union minister Kabindra Purkayastha, AIDC Chairman Mission Ranjan Das and others. The urn will be brought to Police Parade Ground, Silchar via Udharbond. The urn containing ashes will be kept in the ground till 4 PM for paying tribute by the people. After that his ashes will be immersed in river Barak at Sadarghat with due honour.
