‘Unite up Youth’ takes birth & dedicates itself for service of humanity
August 16: Very often now-a-days youth power is not channelised towards service to humanity. Society often accuses the modern youth to be indifferent towards social cause. However, instead of remaining confined to social media sites, a group of youth from Silchar united together in a common platform and stood beside the poor and needy in their own humble way.
This young brigade just passed their HSCL three months ago. The common bond which united these boys is that all of them have passed HSLC from Holy Cross HS School in 2019. This common bond has inspired them to form an organisation, named, “Unite up Youth.” This new social organisation was formed on the day of 73rd Independence of our country.
On the occasion of the Independence Day, Jyotiraditya Das, Venkotesh Chakrabarty, Siddhant Paithya, Shyemashish Choudhury, Gourodip Ghosh, Shreyon Das, Shubhojit Dhar, Ashirbad Roy, Prantik Sen, Shayon Paul & Biley formed the new group “Unite up Youth” and immediately dedicated themselves for the service of humanity. But for this, they did not take a single penny from their parents.
The boys saved some amount of their pocket money and accumulated a common fund out of which they purchased sweets, fruits, biscuit water, soft drinks and distributed them among the poor and needy in and around Silchar Railway Station at Tarapur and poor patients at Nari Siksha Hospital and at Nahata Point, Silchar.
Speaking to way2barak, Jyotiraditya Das said, “Unite up Youth is our dream project. We wanted to do something for the society. We have not taken any extra money from our parents or any other person. We have been saving our pocket money or money given by our parents for auto fare since some time and with this money we have purchased all the food items which we distributed among the poor. In the future we will try to do much more for the society.”
