Union budget to be presented on 1 Feb! Budget Session from 29 Jan

Jan. 5: The Union budget in all probability will be presented in parliament on 1 February, 2021. President Ram Nath Kovind will address joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament on 29 January. The budget session of parliament will be conducted in two parts. The first part of Budget Session from 29 January to 1 February. The second phase will run from March 8 to April 8, sources said. The decision was taken by the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA).

All Covid-related protocols would be followed during the session and both houses will function for 4 hours each due to the protocol. The final decision on the commencement of the session will be taken by the Union Cabinet of Ministers. The Cabinet meeting is scheduled for Wednesday via video conferencing.
