Two-Day Placement Training Workshop held at Assam University

Way2barak, September 2: Two-day training workshop was organized at Assam University to boost the confidence and morale of students to crack the job exams. The workshop was organized by the Career Counseling and Placement Cell of the university on Monday and Tuesday. Students from various departments participated in it.

A Banerjee, a human resource advisor and strategist with 30 years of experience and D Mandal, a professional with more than 20 years of experience in the e-commerce sector, were present as resource persons in this workshop. In both the sessions, the experts shed light on various aspects of recruitment interviews in very clear language.

On the first day, various strategic plans related to recruitment in various corporate sectors, industry collaboration and types of campus interviews were discussed by the teacher coordinators and trainers. On the second day, emphasis was placed on communication, discussion, teamwork and leadership development to prepare students for the placement process.

Prof. Debmalya Ghosh, Director, Career Counseling and Placement Cell said that the two-day workshop provided practical strategies and insights to the participants. It further strengthened the bridge between academic preparation and industry expectations. He also apprised that, Dr. Sourish Dhar, Deputy Director and Dr. Abhishek Bhattacharjee, Assistant Director of the CCPC played vital roles in organizing the training workshop.

Madhurima Nath, Samim Ahmed Barabhuiyan and Sandipan Roy, Student Coordinators of the Placement Cell played an active role in organizing this training workshop. This was informed by university sources.
