To support children’s empowerment, CM Sonowal’s Twitter account to be taken over by a student

Nov. 19: In a rare incident, an 18-year-old student from Namroop Tea Estate in Dibrugarh district of Assam will take over Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal’s Twitter account between 9 AM to 11 AM on 21 November, 2020. During this slot, the student, Vandana Urang of BA 1st Semester (Political Science) at Namroop College will share her opinion on #Reimagining Education in Assam, in a post-pandemic world.

This was for the very first time that the Assam Chief Minister’s Twitter account will be taken over by any student. This was done in a symbolic gesture to support children’s empowerment and participation.
