Three Days Terracotta Workshop at RK Nagar College

Way2barak, May 31 : A Three Days Terracotta workshop commenced on Tuesday at Ramkrishna Nagar College. The inaugural session of the workshop was presided over by the principal of the College, Dr. Surajit Chakrabarty.

Dr Binoy Paul, National Awardee Prominent Artist in Assam, Dr. Anjana Chakraborty, Department of Sanskrit, co-ordinated the programme. Dr. Dipankar Paul, IQAC Coordinator of the college was present in the inaugural session.

Ashit Chakraborty, retired teacher and Artist of R. K.Nagar gave the inaugural speech regarding the necessity and importance of preserving terracotta art in the region.

The workshop was organised under the supervision of Dr. Binoy Paul, the resource person and Bijoy Sinha, artist, R K Nagar. Altogether 37 students from arts and science streams participated in the workshop.
