NGO Paavan distribute food items among flood victims at Bikrampur Tea Estate

May 27: Amidst miseries of daily struggle to earn livelihood, the sudden lash of torrential rain and ensuing flood left people from the downtrodden belt miserable once again. NGO PAAVAN with a view to offer a minimum support reached to the dire need of tea garden labourers of Bikrampur Tea Estate, Chandranathpur, under Borkhola constituency on Thursday.

Essential food items were distributed among 50 families who lost everything in the lashes of floodwaters running through their vicinity. The entire programme was coordinated by the Manager of Bikrampur Tea Estate, P.N. Singh along with the Panchayat staff of the area. Members present during the occasion were Arundhati Dutta Choudhury, Anushaka Chakravorty, Namrata Nath, Suroshikha Debnath and Saptayudh Dutta Choudhury.
