Two roads inaugurated by MLA Dilip Paul in Ward No.4

September 29: Silchar MLA Dilip Kumar Paul inaugurated two roads in Ward No.4. On Sunday, MLA Paul inaugurated these roads in presence of former Union Minister Kabindra Purkayastha and Bijendra Prasad Singh, Municipal Commissioner of Ward No.4.

The two roads inaugurated on Sunday are R.R Shome Road and and Dhakai Patty Road. Both the roads are in Malugram. The R.R. Shome Road, which is under PWD ( Rural Road Silchar Division), an amount of Rs. 29 lakh was sanctioned for 320 meters. Whereas, for the Dhakai Patty Road under PWD, SOPD-G fund 2018-2019, an amount of Rs. 11 lakh 85 thousand was used.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, MLA Paul said that the two roads were in dilapidated condition for a long time and he was happy that the people of the locality can now move at ease through the newly constructed roads. Kabindra Purkayastha also expressed satisfaction and said that it is due to the people friendly policies of both the central and state governments that roads of both urban and rural areas are constructed.

Expressing happiness, Municipal Commissioner, Bijendra Prasad Singh said, “As a Municipal Commissioner ,I m very happy because after a long time the demand of the local resident of R R Som Road fulfilled by our Government.”
