কাঁঠাল পয়েন্টে বাজেয়াপ্ত ৮ কোটি টাকার মাদক ট্যাবলেট, ধৃত ২ Tablets worth Rs. 8 crore seized & 2 peddlers arrested at Silchar on Wednesday night
তখনই বাজেয়াপ্ত হয় ১ লক্ষ ৬০ হাজার ট্যাবলেট। দুটি গাড়ি সহ ত্রিপুরার দুই যুবককে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে। ধৃতদের নাম বিপ্লব দে ও শাহজালাল মিঞা বলে জানিয়েছে বিএসএফের ১৩৪ নং ব্যাটেলিয়নের এক সূত্র।
May 1: In a major crackdown, Cachar police and BSF in a joint operation on Wednesday night apprehended two drug smugglers with a huge cache of Myanmar made Yaba tablets. On 1 May, 2019 at around 8.30 PM, acting on a specific input staff of Supervisory ‘G’ Team, M&C Ftr, tps of 134 Bn BSF and local police conducted a special operation at New City Lounge at Kathal Point, Silchar.
During the search operation, a total of 1,60,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs. 8 crore was seized. Two Indian nationals were arrested along with two vehicles. The seized items and the peddlers were placed under the custody of Rangirkhari Police. The two persons who were arrested are Biplab Deb and Shahjalal Miyan. The operation was led by DIG J.C. Nayak.
Yaba is a combination of methamphetamine (a powerful and addictive stimulant) and caffeine. Yaba, which means crazy medicine in Thai, is produced in Southeast and East Asia. Manufactured illicitly in industries in Myanmar, it is often smuggled into India.
