233 Covid deaths in Assam in last 3 days including 71 on Wednesday

May 12: With a tragic turn of events, more and more people are losing their lives in Assam due to Covid-19. In the last three days, 233 persons in the state have lost their lives due to the deadly coronavirus. On 10 May, 77 people succumbed to Covid-19, 11 May recorded 85 more deaths and on 12 May, 71 persons lost their lives in the virus attack.

Out of the 71 deceased on Wednesday, 26 are from Kamrup Metro; 07 from Kamrup Rural; 4 each from Barpeta, Darrang & Dibrugarh; 3 each from Nalbari, Sonitpur, Tinsukia & Karbianglong; 2 each from Karimganj, Bongaigaon & Golaghat; 1 each from Baksa, Cachar & Hailakandi. The death tally of the state now stands at 1,909.

Apart from the 1,838 Covid deaths, another 1,347 Covid positive patients also died in Assam, but due to comorbidities.
