Students of Business Administration of Assam Univ donates ₹16,500 to CM Relief Fund
April 8: At a time when various NGOs, individuals, organisations, business establishments have come forward to help the poor and needy, students too are not lagging behind. A wonderful precedent of social commitment was exhibited by the students of the Department of Business Administration of Assam University, Silchar.
The initiative was undertaken by the Management Club, 2020 of the varsity. The club took the initiative to collect money from the MBA students of the Business Administration department. The donation by the students was a voluntary one and there was no compulsion to contribute. A total of ₹16,500 was collected and the same was donated to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Apart from this, on 8 April, the students of MBA collected ₹7,750 which they donated to Hridoy NGO, Sonai Road. This NGO is regularly providing food to the poor and needy out of the donation they get from the people in various parts of Silchar. This was informed by Dr. Deepjyoti Choudhury, Assistant professor, Department of Business Administration, Assam University, Silchar.
