“Sok Diwas” observed in Cachar

August 16: Sok Diwas was observed in Cachar district on Sunday to mourn the death of innocent persons killed in a bomb blast at Dhemaji.

A programme was organised by the district administration here at DC’s office premises, where officials and employees took the pledge on the occasion. District Development Commissioner, Jessica Lalsim, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajib Roy, Additional Deputy Commissioner, AR Mazumder, among others, were present.

The day of mourning was observed at the Office of Assistant Commissioner of Taxes, Assistant District Fishery Development Office, PHED, PWD, District Elementary Education Office, Water Resources Department, Assistant Labour Commissioner Office, Regional Office of Information & Public Relations, Barak Valley Zone. Officials and employees of all the departments paid homage to the victims of the bomb blast and took the pledge to fight tooth and nail against all forms of violence.
