Silchar teacher refuses proposal of listening to Mann ki Baath & replies “Who listens to our Baath”
April 25: Dilip Kumar Dey, Retired Principal of Teachers’ Training College, Silchar received an email from sampark@gov.in in his inbox wherein he was urged and informed to listen to Prime Minister’s radio programme “Mann Ki Baath” on Sunday. Instead of tuning in his radio, the retired Principal rather gave wrote his own “Mann Ki Baath” while replying to the email.
Using the reply option in that same email, the retired Principal, Dilip Kumar Dey wrote to the PM “Please listen to our Mon Ki Baat. Barak Valley of Assam has one Govt. Medical College (52 years old Silchar Medical College) which lacks specialists, equipments, and smooth road connection. It doesn’t have any Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor in the departments of Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Urology. Our MPs and most of MLAs are belong to BJP. But due to negligence of the Assam Government we suffer.”
So did he finally listen to the Mann Ki Baath? Replying to this query, the retired Principal in an irritated tone said, “Earlier, I used to listen to this radio programme. But of late, I do not listen to it. Tell me, who cares to listen to our Mann Ki Baath?”
