Silchar Children Park donates ₹25,000 for fight against COVID-19
April 7: The outbreak of coronavirus in the country has captivated almost all states and Union Territories of India. In Assam too, the number of coronavirus effected persons has now reached 28. One each in the 3 disstricts of Barak Valley were reported to be infected with the deadly virus and are all undertaking treatment at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). Many individuals, organisations, business houses has stood beside the government and are generously contributing in this fight against coronavirus. Children’s Park authority of Silchar has also come forward with financial aid.
The Chairman & members of Children’s Park, Silchar contributed to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, an amount of ₹ 25,000. The amount was handed over to the Chairman of the Park cum Deputy Commissioner, Cachar Barnali Sharma on Tuesday morning by Working President B.C.Nath and Member Secretary Dr. Rajib Kar.
While speaking to way2barak, Member Secretary of the Park, Dr.Rajib Kar said, “It is out of social commitment that the Park committee has taken the decision to stand besides our government in the fight against the deadly coronavirus. We do fervently believe that every penny contributed by the people will further strengthen the hands of the government in this battle against COVID-19.” He also appealed to the people at large to obey the lockdown in letter and spirit so that together we can break the chain of coronavirus.
