Second wave and the new symptoms of COVID-19
April 8: In a scary development, India recorded 1,15,736 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the biggest-ever single-day spike since the onset of the pandemic, taking the overall tally to 12,801,785 on 7 April. Earlier, the symptoms of novel coronavirus were fever, dry cough, and tiredness. However, this time around doctors are witnessing uncommon symptoms, which can be called new COVID-19 symptoms.
According to the researchers, some of the new COVID-19 symptoms which no one should take lightly include — pink eyes, gastronomical conditions, and hearing impairment. In a recent report doctors in Gujarat have stated that some of the admitted patients who tested positive for coronavirus complaint of diarrhea, body pain, stomach pain, and vomiting.
According to a recent study, suffering from pink eyes or conjunctivitis is one of the symptoms of the new COVID-19 wave. As per the study, COVID patients are developing redness, swelling and are also experiencing watery eye problems. The experts are now urging people to not ignore these signs of a novel coronavirus attack. Because the only way to stop the spread of this virus is by staying alert.
The need of the hour is to exhibit Covid appropriate behaviour, like, wearing face masks, maintaining social distance etc.
