School student crushed to death being hit by a mini truck at Badarpur

১৮ ফেব্রুয়ারি : এক মর্মান্তিক পথ দুর্ঘটনায় প্রাণ হারাল এক স্কুল পড়ুয়া। সোমবার বদরপুরের কান্দিগ্রামে এই দুর্ঘটনাটি ঘটে। হত ছাত্র মাসরুদ আহমদ। সে চতুর্থ শ্রেণির পড়ুয়া ছিল। প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা জানিয়েছেন, একটি দ্রুতগামী ৪০৭ ট্রাকের ধাক্কায় এই স্কুলছাত্রের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। ছেলেটি বদরপুরের উত্তর কান্দিগ্রামের বাসিন্দা হারিজ আলির পুত্র। তিনি পেশায় ঠেলাচালক।

দুর্ঘটনার পর এলাকার ক্ষুব্ধ জনগণ ৬নং জাতীয় সড়ক অবরোধ করে রাখেন। পরে পুলিশ এসে পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। বদরপুর পুলিশ ঘাতক মিনি ট্রাকটি আটক করেছে। এ ঘটনায় এলাকায় শোকের ছায়া নেমে এসেছে।

February 18: A 9-year school student lost his life in a tragic street accident. The accident took place on Monday at Kandigram in Badarpur. The deceased school student was identified as Mashrud Ahmed. Eye witnesses revealed that the school student lost his life when he was hit by a 407 truck. The boy was a resident of North Kandigram in Badarpur. He was the son of Harij Ali who is a cart puller by profession.

The death of the boy enraged the local people and they blocked the National Highway No.6 for a long time. Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Badarpur police was successful in taking the mini truck in their custody.
