Members of 23 No Pally Mahila Sangstha of Nazirpatty provides lunch to those in distress

June 20: At a time, when due to the prevailing Covid-19 restrictions, normal activities has come to a standstill. Many daily wage earners are devoid of their regular income. To help those disadvantaged people in their own humble way, members of 23 No Pally Mahila Sangstha of Nazirpatty, Silchar offered lunch packets and water to them. On Saturday, the members of this all-female organisation got fresh food cooked and made packets along with water bottles and distributed these to all those in distress who passed through the way.

“It’s a humble way of standing besides the society at this hour when Covid-19 has snatched regular income of many. In the morning from 10.30 to 12 noon, we went to the streets and handed over these food packets. We also gave the lunch packets to the children who sell balloons near Goldighi Mall. We do have plans of providing food to the needy in other parts of the town very soon. Last year too, during the pandemic, our association stood besides such people. ”

Present during this food distribution were the President of 23 No Pally Mahila Sangstha of Nazirpatty, Anju Endow, Secretary Madhumita Paul, Vice President Anita Dam, Executive Members Samita Dutta, Shikha Ghosh, Members- Rina Dey, Shamilee Das among others.
