Review Meeting on ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign’ held in Cachar to achieve drug-free society

Aug 19: A review meeting was held on ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign’ in presence of Joint Secretary cum i/c Additional Deputy Commissioner of Social Welfare, Cachar, DSWO, DCPO, Retired ACS, Deputy SP (BORDER) Cachar, Superintendent of Civil Hospital Silchar, District project Coordinator pmmvy, and MSK officials were present.

The meeting was chaired by Joint Secretary cum i/c ADC Social Welfare Cachar. DSWO had first of all discussed about the purpose of the meeting. As per the parameters received from the state authority of “Nasha Mukt Bharat”, the key points were briefly discussed in the meeting and members had delivered their valuable suggestions for implementing the same. The major point which were discussed was to immediately form 50  Master Volunteer from diverse field and to train them with special trainer who is specialized on de-addiction.

The hot-spot area should be covered with special awareness campaign with the police department, a mass awareness can be generated with Village Defence Organization. Installation of hoardings on ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ Campaign may be installed at border and hot spot areas of the District. In tea garden areas with the help of garden manager a Mega awareness campaign can be done on De-addiction to inspire the youths to make “Drug Free Society “.
