Heavy rains & thunderstorms likely to hit Assam in next 12 hours

June 25: Assam, along with Sikkim, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura is likely to witness heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms in the next 12 hours. ‘Skymet’ on Tuesday forecasted heavy to heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Southern Assam & Meghalaya over next 3 days.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Barak Valley will witness continuous rain with one or two spells of thundershowers between June 25 to 28. Meanwhile rains have brought in relief for the people of Northeast, especially in Assam. This was indeed a great relief even for the people of Barak Valley from the scorching heat which prevailed since the last few days.
