Rapid response teams formed in Cachar to deal with adverse event during vaccination of
Jan. 4: The vaccination drive for teenagers in the age group of 15 to 18 kick started in Cachar district along with the rest of the country on 3 January. Meanwhile, Joint Director of Health Services, Cachar in a notification stated that ‘Rapid Response Teams’ were constituted to deal with any adverse event following immunization (AEFI) in schools during the Covid vaccination programme for those between 15 to 18 years of age.
The order further stated that the concerned head of the institution will contact the concerned doctor in any case of adverse event following vaccination. The SDM&HO of the BPHC/Urban Family Welfare Unit will provide necessary para-medical staff and vehicle as and when necessary for movement of ‘Rapid Response Teams’ as and when required.
