With 35 more Covid-19 +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 119 on Wednesday

Active cases 510 in Cachar

April 28: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday at 10.30 PM. As per the latest data, 35 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 119 persons were found positive in the district on 26 April. Earlier, at 7 PM, it was informed that 84 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has now gone up to 510.

As per the updated data, a total of 1,178 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done, out of which, a total of 61 persons were found positive, whereas 58 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed, District Surveillance Officer (DSO), IDSP, Cachar on Wednesday night. It needs mention here that on Tuesday, the total positive cases detected here was 115. With this, the district tally of coronavirus cases has gone upto 12,411. Again, 11,813 patients till now were cured and discharged.

Apart from This Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed informed that out of the 510 active patients, 62 of them are admitted at SMCH, 27 in MH, 19 at SMDCH, 22 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital, 02 at CRPF Doyapur and 04 at Gracewell Nursing Home. Further, 374 patients are in home isolation.

However, what remained confusing is that NHM Assam in its twitter handle on 28 April stated that there was 1 Covid-19 death in Cachar, but no such mention was made by the Cachar District Health Department.
