Governor’s Civil Services coaching scheme : Deadline extended to August 10

Guwahati, August 7: In a significant push towards nurturing future civil servants from Assam, the last date to apply for the prestigious “Governor Assam Pratibha Protsahan Yojana 2025-26” has been extended to 10th August 2025. Spearheaded by the Hon’ble Governor of Assam and implemented in collaboration with Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan, this initiative aims to identify and support ten talented IAS and IPS aspirants from the state by offering them free UPSC coaching at India’s most reputed civil services institutes in New Delhi.

The selected candidates will receive coaching at premier institutions such as Vision IAS, Vajiram & Ravi, Next IAS, ALS IAS, Shubhra Ranjan IAS, Drishti IAS, and Sunya IAS Academy. All costs related to the coaching will be borne under the scheme, making it a unique opportunity for deserving candidates to access top-tier guidance without financial burden. The selection process involves a rigorous talent search examination, followed by counselling and personal interviews. Candidates are expected to appear for the written screening test on 24th August, with results scheduled to be declared on 31st August. Shortlisted candidates will undergo group counselling on 14th September and personal interviews the next day, with the coaching programme tentatively commencing on 24th September 2025.

Applications must be submitted online through the official portal https://gappy.assam.gov.in by 1:00 PM on 10th August 2025.

However,Raj Bhavan has also clarified that it is solely the responsibility of applicants to regularly check the official website for updates, including screening test results and final selection announcements. Any failure to stay informed will not be entertained as a valid excuse.
