The protest demonstration was organised by BJP against the brutal massacre of CRPF jawans on 14 February at Pulwama. The 44 CRPF jawans who were martyred in a suicide attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on Thursday were returning from leave. More than 2500 CRPF personel were travelling in a convoy of 78 vehicles when a Jaish-e-Mohammad suicide bomber rammed a SUV carrying 350 kg of explosives into a bus carrying the CRPF troopers. There were no survivors in the bus. The Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

During the protest demonstration, former minister Kabindra Purkayastha further said that the Pulwama attacks is a testimony to the fact that Pakistan won’t take any lessons from the past. He said that Pakistan was born by dividing India and is constantly striving since its birth to sow the seeds of terrorism in the soil of India. He hoped that another surgical strike like incident will be carried on by the Indian government to teach Pakistan a proper lesson.

Speaking during the protest demonstration, other leaders of Cachar BJP also criticised the Pulwama attack in strict words. They said that the nation is united irrespective of political affiliation to teach Pakistan an ultimate lesson. They said that the sacrifice of the 44 martyrs will not go in vain.
