Police seize contraband worth Rs 3.18 crore in Sribhumi, two held

way2barak, July 29: Police have seized contraband valued at ₹3 crore in Sribhumi district, resulting in the arrest of 2 individuals.

Sribhumi district police conducted two separate operations in which 31,800 bottles of cough syrup worth ₹3.18 crore were recovered and arrested 2 persons.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on July 28 commended the Sribhumi Police for  successful anti-drug operations.

Sharing the update on X, the Chief Minister said the successful operations reflect the results of heightened vigilance across the state and stressed that every such interception weakens larger criminal networks involved in the illegal drug trade.
