Out of 33,346 tests done on Wednesday, 1307 found +ve in Assam; 7 deaths registered

Oct. 7: On Wednesday, 1307 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,90,209, out of which, 34,347 are active cases. During the day, 33,346 tests were done in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1307 #COVID cases detected out of 33346 tests today. Positivity Rate – 3.92% Kamrup M- 317; Jorhat- 135; Dibrugarh- 119.”

Moreover, during the day, another 07 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 785.
