Noted educationist & Director of Ramanuj- Srimanta Dutta tests +ve, admitted in a pvt hospital

June 11: Noted educationist and Director of Ramanuj Gupta Junior College Srimanta Dutta was tested positive. The 82-year-old former Head, Department of Mathematics and also former Principal in-charge of GC College, Silchar was admitted at Green Heals Private Hospital, Silchar on Thursday late evening. As per hospital sources, Prof Dutta is Covid positive and at present exhibiting mild symptoms. He is a diabetic patient with hypertension and has been on pacemaker for several years. However, the doctors at the hospital told that there is nothing serious and he is in the safe zone.

Since his retirement from GC College, Srimanta Dutta has been the Director of Ramanuj Gupta Junior College and the college excelled in its performance under his able guidance.
