No fresh COVID-19 positive cases in Hailakandi; seven discharged from SMC&H
June 3: South Assam’s Hailakandi district did not report any fresh COVID-19 positive cases since Tuesday. The district’s positive cases stand at 46, including one death. 82 swab samples tested negative on Wednesday. Health authorities here revealed that 559 persons are under institutional quarantine facility while 456 discharged are under home quarantine. 140 persons were put under institutional quarantine centres while 13 were released on Wednesday.
25 persons are admitted in the isolation wards of SK Roy Civil Hospital while four COVID-19 infected have been referred to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital. Seven patients of the district have been cured and discharged from the SMC&H.
Joint Director, Health Services, Dr.Ramesh Chandra Dwivedy informed that swab samples of 127 persons were collected at the Dholeswari Inbound Passenger Facilitation Centre on Wednesday. 78 swab samples were collected on Tuesday. Of the 1,719 swab samples taken, 1,430 have turned out to be negative while the results of 237 samples are awaited.
