New directives issued to be followed by doctors during private practice in chambers
July 2: In view of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, it has become necessary that all COVID-19 protocol should be obeyed in letter and spirit. All are expected to wear face masks properly and maintain proper social distancing norms. It is in this context that certain directives were issued by the Joint Director of Health Services cum Convenor, District Registering Authority Cachar on Thursday, which were to be compulsorily followed by the doctors while examining patients in their respective private chambers. The following directives were issued:
- No Private Doctor chamber should allow more than 10 (ten) patients at a time Each patient can accompany maximum 1 (one) attendant.
- The sitting arrangement of the patients should be in compliance with the social distancing norms
- No patient or attendant without mask should be allowed.
- Telephonic booking or Online booking should only be allowed to avoid mass gathering
- Any case with symptom of ILI/SARI should immediately be reported at Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) Unit, Silchar (District Epidemologist, Contact No.- 70861-09448)
The order issued by the Joint Director of Health Services, Cachar further stated that the provisions mentioned therein should be followed mandatorily. Any deviation of the aforesaid directives will invite penal legal as per Government rules.
