Mob thrashes Air Force soldier, father in UP

way2barak Feb 23: An Indian Air Force personnel and his father were allegedly assaulted by members of a wedding procession in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The incident reportedly took place after they objected to people consuming alcohol and creating a ruckus on the road, leading to traffic disruption. The IAF personnel, Pratham Singh and his father Jitendra Singh, a primary school principal, have alleged that members of the procession attacked them following the confrontation.

According to the FIR lodged in a complaint by the soldier’s father, Pratham Singh, the confrontation began when the accused objected to the horn being sounded near a horse procession.

The complaint alleges the assailants were intoxicated and launched a coordinated assault.

Police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused, while officials said further action would follow based on video evidence and witness statements.
