MLA Krishnendu Paul discharged from COVID centre after testing negative

June 29: Patharkandi MLA Krishnendu Paul was discharged from Karimganj COVID-19 Hospital on Sunday after testing negative twice. He will now be home quarantined for 14 days. MLA Paul is the only MLA from Assam to have tested positive for COVID-19. Although he was infected with coronavirus, but all throughout he was asymptomatic. He was admitted in the COVID Ward of Karimganj Civil Hospital on last Monday.

Meanwhile, swab samples were also collected from his family members and staff. However, all of them tested negative.
