8 more +ve cases in Assam including 7 from Barak, total rises to 230
Active cases 169 in Assam
May 22: Eight more positive cases were detected in the state. Out of the eight patients, 1 patient is at Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH), Guwahati under quarantine, another 1 of them is at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) and the rest 6 persons are from Cachar with a travel history. Confirming this, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted that all 8 of them were in quarantine centres. This takes the total tally of the state to 230. Out of 230 positive patients, 169 are active cases.
