Ministry of Civil Aviation withdraws fare caps on tickets of domestic flights from 31 August

Aug, 10: The Ministry of Civil Aviation has decided to remove fare caps on tickets of domestic airlines from August 31. The airfare caps were imposed on domestic airlines in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic.

The decision to remove air fare caps has been taken after careful analysis of daily demand and prices of air turbine fuel. Stabilisation has set in & we are certain that the sector is poised for growth in domestic traffic in the near future, tweeted Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia.
