Earthquake measuring 4.2 jolts Assam, no casualty reported

Sept. 22: An earthquake measuring 4.2 in the Richter scale jolted parts of Assam at 1.28 AM on 22 September The earthquake had its epicentre in Barpeta, Assam. The quake lasted for around 48 seconds. It occurred at a depth of 71 kilometres and the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) has marked this earthquake as ‘reviewed’ while confirming the coordinates 26.27 (latitude) and 91.20 (longitude). Till the filing of this report at 1.53 AM, no damage of life and property was reported.
