Man posts suicide note in FB, cyber team of Assam Police cracks the location & saves him
May 31: In what seems to be a worrisome post, a man took to his Facebook and posted a message in his wall, which reads: “Sorry FB friends, I hurt u, I have decided. I will do suicide n take rest.” Since this post, at least 16 of his Facebook friends persuaded him not to do so and 11 of them gave emoji of grief and surprise, but none succeeded in connecting with that person. Meanwhile, just after 17 minutes of the post, it came to the notice of Assam Police.
Immediately, Assam Police alerted that a man is going to end his own life! The only clue available to them was the person’s message in his Facebook wall. But that was enough for the smart modern day police armed with the cyber cell. At once, the cyber crack team of Assam Police set into action. Within a very short time, they successfully located the address of that person. The local police team was then alerted, who rushed to the man’s house and stopped from causing harm to himself.
We were alerted that a man is going to end his own life!
As for clue, we just had the person's profile on Social Media.Our crack Cyber team located the person quickly and local police team were able to reach and stop the person from harming himself.

Sharing this information in a tweet, Assam Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta wrote, “BRAVO, our Boys did good!” Twitterati were all in praises of this act of Assam Police and flooded social media thanking the cops. Once such twitter user wrote, “Police will obviously get blessings of his parents and closed ones for this quick action and saving the person. At our end a sincere thanks and appreciation for the way you saved a life.” Another netizen wrote, “This is great service. People are in deep anxiety in pandemic time. All the aspects of policing is required in civil society. This is largely exhibhited by Assam Police. Good work Sir.”
