Let your Light Shine: Keeping upto its motto, Holy Cross shines bright in HSLC 2022

June 7: The results of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) conducted by Board of Secondary Education (SEBA), Assam was declared at 10 AM on June 7, 2022. Barak Valley could secure only one position out of the 55 total positions secured by the students this year within the 10th place.

Keeping upto its motto, “Let your Light Shine”, the students of Holy Cross HS School, Silchar performed a brilliant knock this year in the HSLC Examinations, 2022. A total of 112 students appeared from Holy Cross in which, all of them passed. One student, Biswadip Nath of Holy Cross School secured the 10th position and carved a niche both for himself and his school.

It needs mention here that Biswadip Nath is the only student from the three districts of Barak Valley to secure position in the state. Biswadip is the son of Dr Bidyut Nath & Protiti Sikha Nath. Biswadip Nath of Holy Cross HS School secured a total of 588 marks out of 600. He got distinction and secured 6 letters in all the 6 subjects. He got letters in English, General  Mathematics, General Science, Social Science, Advance Mathematics and Bengali.

A total of 4,19,887 candidates appeared in the HSLC exam out of which 1,95,181 are male and 2,24,706 are female. 229131 students passed, out of which, 1,95,179 are male and 2,24,708 are female. A total of 65,176 students secured 1st division, 99, 854 got second division marks, whereas, 64,101 got third division marks. Further, 1,57,104 letters in different subjects were obtained by the students in HSLC Exam this year. Also, 14,047 students scored star marks (450 & above out of 600), whereas, 8,373 students got Distinction marks (450 & above out of 600).
