124 found Covid +ve in Cachar on 1 May; 37 patients discharged
Active cases 608 in Cachar
May 1: A total of 124 new cases of COVID-19 was reported on Saturday in Cachar. During the day, 3,166 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done, out of which, a total of 109 persons were found positive, whereas 39 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed, District Surveillance Officer (DSO), IDSP, Cachar on Saturday night. With this, the district tally of coronavirus cases has gone upto 12,861. Again, 12,105 patients till now were cured and discharged. A total of 37 patients were discharged on Saturday.
Further, during the day, 374 air passengers arrived at Silchar Airport, out of which, 316 did Covid test at Tikal Model Hospital, wherein 08 of them were found positive. It needs mention here that on Friday, 154 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
Apart from this Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed informed that out of the 608 active patients, 75 of them are admitted at SMCH, 12 in MH, 20 at SMDCH, 28 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital, 02 at CRPF Doyapur and 09 at Gracewell Nursing Home. Further, 462 patients are in home isolation. No Covid-19 related deaths were registered in the district on 1 May, 2021.
