দিলীপ-দীপায়ন সাইকেলে, বাকিরা ফিরলেন গাড়িতেই
Cycle Day: Dilip-Dipayan on cycle, rest came back by car

২০ জানুয়ারিঃ নরেন্দ্র মোদির ডাকে রবিবার সাইকেল দিবস পালন হল শিলচরেও। দুই বিধায়ক দিলীপকুমার পাল ও কিশোর নাথ, উদযাপন কমিটির আহ্বায়ক ডা. রাজদীপ রায়, বিজেপি জেলা সভাপতি কৌশিক রাই, রেডক্রশ কর্তা দীপায়ন চক্রবর্তী, পুরসভার উপ-সভাপতি চামেলী পাল, জেলা ক্রীড়া সংস্থার সভাপতি বাবুল হোড় সহ সিদ্ধার্থ ভট্টাচার্য, বিজেন্দ্রপ্রসাদ সিংহ প্রমুখের সঙ্গে ছিলেন সরকারি কর্তারাও।

পুলিশ সুপার রাকেশ রৌশন, শিশু ও যুব কল্যাণ সদস্য সচিব লক্ষ্য কোঁয়র, নূমলিগড় রিফাইনারি লিমিটেডের জেনারেল ম্যানেজার সুব্রত দাস, ব্রুনো এক্কা সহ বেশ কয়েকজন মঞ্চে ছিলেন। নূমলিগড় রিফাইনারি-ই পুরো কর্মসূচির আর্থিক ব্যবস্থাপনায়। পুলিশ প্যারেড গ্রাউন্ড থেকে মধুরামুখে মহাসড়কের জিরো পয়েন্ট পর্যন্ত গিয়ে আবার পুলিশ মাঠে ফিরে আসে শতেক কিশোর-যুবা। বক্তব্যে সবাই সাইকেল দিবসের গুণকীর্তন করলেও মিছিলে সাইকেল চালান শুধু দিলীপকুমার পাল ও দীপায়ন চক্রবর্তী। বাকিরা সবাই মাঠে বসে প্রাতঃরাশ সেরে বিলাসী গাড়িতেই ফিরে যান।

January 20: Cycle Day was observed at Silchar at the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with other parts of the country. Present during the occasion were two MLAs Dilip Kumar Paul and Kishore Nath, Convenor of the Celebration Commiittee Dr. Rajdeep Roy, Red Cross Chief Dipayan Chakraborty, BJP District President Kaushik Rai, Vice Chairperson of Silchar Municipality Chameli Pal, DSA President Babul Hore, Sidhhartha Bhattacharjee, Bijendra Prasad Singhand other government officials.

Others who adorned the dias were Police Super Rakesh Roushan, Member Secretary of Child and Youth Welfare Lakkhsha Kowar, General Manager of Numaligarh Refinery Limited Subrata Das. The entire event was sponsored by Numaligarh Refinery. The cycle rally started from Police Parade Ground and went upto Madhuramukh Mahasadak. The rally again came back to Police Parade Ground. Though almost all were busy speaking on the importance of Cycle Day, yet only Dilip Kumar Paul and Dipayan Chakraborty were seen riding bicycle. The rest of them had their breakfast in the field and then returned back in their luxury cars.
