Kendriya Bhandar inaugurated at Assam University
কেন্দ্রীয় ভাণ্ডারের উদ্বোধন আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ৩ সেপ্টেম্বর : কেন্দ্রীয় কর্মী, গণ অভিযোগ ও পেনশন মন্ত্রকের অধীন ‘কেন্দ্রীয় ভাণ্ডার’ খোলা হল আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে। বুধবার দুপুরে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ক্যাম্পাসে এই খুচরো বিক্রয় কেন্দ্রের আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন করা হয়। উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থ ও নিবন্ধক ড. প্রদোষ কিরণ নাথের উপস্থিতিতে ফিতে কেটে এই ভাণ্ডারের যাত্রা শুরু করেন পরিসংখ্যান বিভাগের সহকারী অধ্যাপক ড. বিবেক ভার্মা।

প্রসঙ্গত, সরকারি কর্মচারী ও সাধারণ জনগণের কল্যাণে ১৯৬৩ সালে কেন্দ্রীয় ভাণ্ডার নামে এই প্রকল্প চালু করে কেন্দ্র সরকার। এই কেন্দ্রীয় ভাণ্ডারে ন্যায্য মূল্যে গ্রোসারি ও স্টেশনারি সামগ্রী পাওয়া যায়। বিশেষ করে ব্র‍্যান্ডেড বিভিন্ন সামগ্রীতে বিশেষ ছাড়েরও ব্যবস্থা রয়েছে।

এদিন এই কেন্দ্রীয় ভাণ্ডারের উদ্বোধনের পর উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক পন্থ জানান, এই ভাণ্ডারের মাধ্যমে ছাত্র-শিক্ষক-শিক্ষাকর্মীরা সুলভ মূল্যে উন্নত মানের সামগ্রী কিনতে পারবেন। আগামীতে প্রয়োজনীয় ওষুধ ও সংশ্লিষ্ট জিনিসপত্রেরও ব্যবস্থা করা হলে সবাই উপকৃত হবেন বলেও আশা ব্যক্ত করেন তিনি। উদ্বোধনী পর্বে অন্যদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন উপাচার্য জায়া ভাওনা পন্থ, বিত্ত আধিকারিক ড. শুভদীপ ধর, পরীক্ষা নিয়ন্ত্রক ড. সুপ্রবীর দত্তরায়, এস্টেটের সেকশন অফিসার সুব্রত সিনহা প্রমুখ।

কেন্দ্রীয় ভাণ্ডারের আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কেন্দ্রের ইনচার্জ সঞ্জয় রায় জানিয়েছেন, প্রতিদিন বেলা এগারোটা থেকে রাত সাতটা পর্যন্ত ভাণ্ডার সর্বসাধারণের জন্য খোলা থাকবে। এতে বিভিন্ন কোম্পানির উন্নত মানের সামগ্রী পাওয়া যাবে। প্রতিটি সামগ্রীতেই ছাড়ের ব্যবস্থা রয়েছে। তিনি এও জানান, উদ্বোধন উপলক্ষে আগামী পনেরো দিন সামগ্রী ভিত্তিক সর্বোচ্চ ৩৫ শতাংশ ছাড় দেওয়া হচ্ছে।

Way2barak, September 3 :  The ‘Kendriya Bhandar’ under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions was opened at Assam University. This retail center was formally inaugurated on the university campus on Wednesday afternoon. In the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajiv Mohan Pant and Registrar Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath, Dr. Vivek Verma inaugurated the store by cutting the ribbon.

Noted that, the central government launched this project in the name of Kendriya Bhandar in 1963 for the welfare of government employees and the general public. Grocery and stationery items are available at fair prices in this central store. There is also a special discount on various branded items.

After inaugurating the Kendriya Bhandar, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pant said that through this store, students, teachers and employees will be able to buy high-quality items at affordable prices. He also expressed hope that everyone would benefit if necessary medicines and related items are also arranged in the future. Among others present at the inauguration were the first lady of the University Bhawana Pant, Finance Officer Dr. Shubhdeep Dhar, Controller of Examinations Dr. Suprabir Dattaray, Section Officer of Estate Subrata Sinha.

Sanjay Roy, In-charge of Assam University Centre of Kendriya Bhandar, said that the store will be open to the public from 11am to 7pm every day. High-quality items from different companies will be available in it. There is a discount on each item. He also said that on the occasion of the inauguration, a maximum discount of 35 percent is being given on the items for the next fifteen days.
