Appointment of College Principal & teachers to be done through a common recruitment board: Ranoj Pegu

Dec. 13: From now onwards, appointment of College teachers and Principals will be done through a common recruitment board. A body  bearing the nomenclature ‘Assam College Teachers & Principals Recruitment Board’ will be formed for this purpose of recruitment. Very soon, a cabinet decision in this connection will be taken. This was announced by State Education Minister, Dr Ranoj Pegu on Monday while delivering his address during the 66th Annual General Conference of Assam College Teachers’ Association (ACTA) held at Nagaon Girls’ College, Nagaon.

Elaborating on this, the Minister of Education stated that henceforth, there will be a single window for the purpose of recruitment of teachers and Principals in the colleges of Assam. Incumbents can apply in multiple colleges through the Board which will be formed for this purpose.
