Independence Day : Delhi Police tightens security, over 1,600 personnel deployed in South zone
way2barak, Aug 12: Delhi Police have imposed restrictions on kite flying and the use of several other airborne objects around key venues hosting Independence Day celebrations and public gatherings.
The prohibitory orders have been introduced as part of heightened security arrangements for August 15 events and will remain in force until August 16.
The restrictions cover areas in and around central Delhi, including locations close to the Red Fort, where the main Independence Day celebrations will be held.
The order was issued by Central District Deputy Commissioner of Police Rohit Rajbir Singh under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
