Assam University signs MoU with BOPT to launch Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme
অ্যাপ্রেন্টিসশিপ এমবেডেড ডিগ্রি প্রোগ্রাম চালু করতে বিওপিটির সঙ্গে চুক্তি আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১২ আগস্ট : পড়ুয়াদের জন্য শিক্ষানবিশ প্রশিক্ষণ ও অ্যাপ্রেন্টিসশিপ এমবেডেড ডিগ্রি প্রোগ্রাম-এর সুযোগ সম্প্রসারণের লক্ষ্যে বোর্ড অব প্র্যাকটিক্যাল ট্রেনিং (ইস্টার্ন রিজিয়ন)-এর সঙ্গে সমঝোতা চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর করল আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। গতকাল উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থের উপস্থিতিতে এই সমঝোতাপত্র স্বাক্ষরিত হয়।

এ উপলক্ষে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে বোর্ড অব প্র্যাকটিক্যাল ট্রেনিঙের পক্ষ থেকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন পরিচালক ড. এস এম ইজাজ আহমেদ ও ওএসডি সাজিদ। অন্যদিকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পক্ষ থেকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন নিবন্ধক ড. প্রদোষ কিরণ নাথ, সেন্টার ফর ক্যারিয়ার প্লেসমেন্ট অ্যান্ড কাউন্সেলিং-এর ডিরেক্টর অধ্যাপক দেবমাল্য ঘোষ, কলেজ ডেভেলপমেন্ট সেন্টারের অধিকর্তা জয়ন্ত ভট্টাচার্য প্রমুখ।

অনুষ্ঠানে বিওপিটির পরিচালক ড. ইজাজ আহমেদ বোর্ডের কার্যক্রমের পাশাপাশি ন্যাশনাল অ্যাপ্রেন্টিসশিপ ট্রেনিং স্কিম এবং অ্যাপ্রেন্টিসশিপ এমবেডেড ডিগ্রি প্রোগ্রাম সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত তথ্য তুলে ধরেন। এই সমঝোতার ফলে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থী ও প্রাক্তন শিক্ষার্থীদের পাশাপাশি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধিভুক্ত কলেজগুলির শিক্ষার্থীরাও উপকৃত হবেন বলে জানানো হয়েছে।

বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে, স্নাতক স্তরের চূড়ান্ত বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থীদের অ্যাপ্রেন্টিসশিপ সংক্রান্ত সুযোগ গ্রহণের জন্য নির্ধারিত পোর্টালে নাম নথিভুক্ত করতে হবে। অন্যদিকে, যেসব প্রাক্তন শিক্ষার্থীর স্নাতক সম্পন্ন করার পর পাঁচ বছর পূর্ণ হয়নি, তাঁদের বিওপিটির এনএটিএস পোর্টালে নাম নথিভুক্ত করার পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়েছে। এই কর্মসূচির নোডাল অফিসার হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করবেন অধ্যাপক দেবমাল্য ঘোষ। এ বিষয়ে আরও বিস্তারিত তথ্যের জন্য তাঁর সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করতে বলা হয়েছে।

Way2barak, August 12 : Assam University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region) to expand opportunities for apprenticeship training and the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP) for its students. The MoU was signed yesterday in the presence of Assam University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant.

Director of the Board of Practical Training, Dr. S. M. Ejaz Ahmed, and OSD Sajid attended the programme on behalf of BOPT. Representing Assam University were Registrar Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath, Director of the Centre for Career Placement and Counselling Prof. Debmalya Ghosh, Director of the College Development Centre Jayanta Bhattacharjee, among others.

During the programme, Dr. Ejaz Ahmed elaborated on the activities of BOPT, the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), and the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme. It was stated that the MoU would benefit not only the students and alumni of Assam University but also students of its affiliated colleges.

The university informed that final-year undergraduate students interested in availing themselves of apprenticeship opportunities will have to register on the designated portal. Alumni who have completed their graduation within the last five years have also been advised to register on the BOPT’s NATS portal.
