Himanta visits Diphu Medical Colleges, reviews COVID-19 preparedness

April 17: The whirlwind tour of State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in different hospitals of the state is still on. He has been personally monitoring the COVID-19 situation in the state and could be seen visiting different hospitals off and on. On Friday morning, minister Biswa Sarma visited Diphu Medical College & Hospital (DMCH). He was accompanied by MoS Pijush Hazarika and other officials.

The health minister interacted with doctors, nurses & health officials at Diphu Medical College & Hospital. He went around the hospital and reviewed the preparedness for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

Taking to his twitter handle, the minister wrote, “Visited Diphu Medical College & Hospital along with MoS Sri @Pijush_hazarika & CEM, #KAAC, Sri @TuliramRonghang. Interacted with doctors, nurses & health officials to check & review preparedness for the treatment of #COVID19 patients.”

Assam has till now recorded 34 coronavirus positive cases, out of which 5 of them have recovered and 1 died. The last two patients to be tested positive are from Morigaon.
