Himanta monitors hospitalisation of 14 +ve patients from Sarusajai to MMCH
May 20: Fourteen new COVID19 positive cases were confirmed on Wednesday night. They all were passengers who came from outside Assam and were in the quarantine centre at Sarusajai Sports Complex, Guwahati. Past midnight, State Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma along with Minister of State, Pijush Hazarika and other officials monitored the entire process of hospitalisation of all the 14 patients from Sarusajai Sports Complex to Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH), Guwahati.
14 patients detected with #COVID19 have been admitted to MMCH a short while ago. Along with my regular checks, I & @Pijush_hazarika was present to ensure their smooth and safe admission as well as proper briefing.

All of them were also properly briefed about the protocol by the minister. Sharing this information, Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet requested the family members of the COVID-19 patients to cooperate with the government. The total number of coronavirus cases in Assam has reached 188. Out of this, 48 persons were discharged, 4 of them died and 3 were migrated. So at present, there are 133 active cases in the state.
