Heavy rainfall predicted in several parts of the state including 3 districts of Barak Valley

June 15: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) at Borjhar has issued warning for extremely heavy rain at isolated places over Chirang, & Bongaigaon. Alert was issued for Thunderstorm with lightning and very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Kamrup, Kamrup (M) Dhubri, Goalpara, Darrang, West Karbi-Anglong, Biswanath, Dima-Hasao, Cachar, Biswanath, Lakhimpur.

Further, very heavy rain very likely would occur at a few places over South Salmara, Kokrajhar and very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Baksa, Barpeta, Nalbari, Udalguri. It was further stated in the weather bulletin that thunderstorm with lightning and heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places over Morigaon, Karbi-Anglong, Sonitpur, Jorhat, Sivsagar, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Karimganj. Further, heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places over Nagaon, Golaghat, Dhemaji, Majuli, Hailakandi on 16 June, 2022.
