Cachar District prepares for national lok adalat on 14th

way2barak, 9 December: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Cachar, is all set to organize the much-anticipated National Lok Adalat on 14th December 2024, at the District Court Campus, Silchar, starting from 9:30 AM onwards.

This landmark event offers a unique opportunity for parties involved in a wide array of cases to resolve their disputes amicably and efficiently under the guidance of expert conciliators.

The Lok Adalat will cater to pending cases such as, civil cases, special electricity cases, GR cases and PRC cases (Compoundable cases), negotiable instruments (NI) act cases, motor vehicle act cases, matrimonial disputes, motor accident claims tribunal (MACT) cases.

Additionally, pre-litigation matters involving APDCL, BSNL and various banks will also be taken up, ensuring a comprehensive coverage of disputes.

The DLSA urges all parties who have received summons or notices to actively participate in the Lok Adalat and seize this chance to settle their cases through compromise. Conciliators will be stationed in designated courts and booths to assist in case resolution, ensuring fairness and transparency throughout the process.
