Centre to soon sign accord with Bodo Militant Group NDFB

January 25: The stage is all set for the Union Government of India to sign an accord with the banned outfit National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) on 27 January. The Gauhati High Court on 25 January gave interim bail to Ranjan Daimary and will be flown to New Delhi for signing the accord.

The tripartite agreement will be signed in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal by top leadership of the four factions of the NDFB (led by Ranjan Daimari, Govinda Basumatary, Dhiren Boro and B Saoraigra).

As per reports, the new treaty, the existing BTC will be upgraded to Bodoland Union Council and all the four factions of the NDFB, ABSU and Bodo political elites have endorsed it.
