Google removes 8 apps from Play Store after malware found; check if you have these apps
June 20: Google Play Store is the most reliable store house of mobile applications for android users. These apps are easily downloaded by the smartphone users to suit their personal requirements. However, inspite of all the safety standards maintained by Goggle, sometimes, some fraudulent apps makes place in the Play Store which poses great risk to the cell phone users. Ofcourse, Google remains vigilant to such issues and informs the users to uninstall such risky apps from their mobile phones or else sometimes Google even directly removes such apps.
In one such incident, Google removed eight apps from its Play Store after the detection of ‘Joker’ malware. Stating this, Quick Heal Security said that ‘Joker’ steals data like texts, contacts and device information and subscribes victims to premium services without their knowledge.
The eight apps which were removed by Google from its Play Store recently are: Auxilliary Message, Fast Message SMS, Free CamScanner, Super Message, Element Scanner, Go Messages, Travel Wallpapers and Super SMS.
