Free Cataract Detection & Eye Check Up Camp organised by LCSL & YASE

May 20: Another successful joint venture was undertaken on Monday by Lions Club of Silchar Lioness and Youth Against Social Evils. On Monday, a Free Cataract Detection and Eye Check Up Camp was jointly organised by Lions Club of Silchar Lioness (LCSL) and Youth Against Social Evils (YASE) at Uranabond Tea Estate in Udharbond constituency of Cachar. The camp was organised at the premises of the Tea Garden hospital.

A total of 120 patients were examined in this camp by Dr. Jhalak Chakraborty. He was assisted by other pharmaceutical staff. The patients were also given free medicine. Further, 40 of them were also provided with free spectacles. Moreover, 20 patients were detected with cataract and were brought to ‘Lions Eye Hospital,’ Silchar where they would be operated free of cost.

On behalf of LCSL President Sakhi Bhattacharjee and Treasurer Paromita Paul were present and on behalf of YASE Central Committee, its President  Sanjeev Roy, Assistant Treasurer Dinesh Kahar , Chandan Goala, Prakash Ree, Ashok Kurmi, Nandi Goala, Mukesh Karmakar, Kanai Tanti, Bappon Kahar and others were present.
