২২ জানুয়ারি : করিমগঞ্জের নতুন জেলাশাসক হিসেবে মঙ্গলবার দায়িত্ব নিলেন ফণীভূষণ রায়। তিনি বিদায়ী জেলাশাসক প্রদীপ কুমার তালুকদারের কাছ থেকে কার্যভার গ্রহণ করেন। বিদায়ী জেলাশাসক প্রদীপ কুমার তালুকদারকে পদোন্নতি দিয়ে দিসপুরে সাধারণ প্রশাসন বিভাগের সচিব হিসেবে বদলি করা হয়েছে। আসাম সিভিল সার্ভিসের ক্যাডার ফণীভূষণ রায় করিমগঞ্জের ৩৫তম জেলাশাসক।

এদিকে, বিদায়ী জেলাশাসক তালুকদারকে এ দিন উপায়ুক্তের কার্যালয়ের আধিকারিক ও কর্মচারীরা সংবর্ধনা জানান। এর আগে তিনি সাংবাদিকদের মুখোমুখি হয়ে করিমগঞ্জে তাঁর কার্যকালের সময় বিভিন্ন অভিজ্ঞতার কথা তুলে ধরেন।

January 22: Fani Bhushan Roy took charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj on Tuesday. He took over charge from the outgoing Deputy Commissioner Pradip Kumar Taluqdar. Mr. Taluqdar was promoted and transferred as the Secretary of General Administrative Department in Dispur. Fani Bhushan Roy, an ACS officer, is the 35th Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj.

Meanwhile, the officers and staff of the office of the DC Karimganj accorded a grand farewell to Pradip Kumar Taluqdar. Prior to that, Mr. Taluqdar met the press and narrated his experience during his tenure as the Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj.
